Ontario's new Moving Ontarians More Safely Act (MOMS)
This MOMS act is meant to prevent stunt driving, street racing and aggressive driving by lengthening license suspensions and vehicle impoundments.
Anyone who is caught driving 40 km/h or more over the speed limit where the limit is 80 km/h or lower could have their vehicle impounded for 14 days and their driver's license suspended for 30 days.
Drivers found guilty of stunt driving can also face a fine of $2,000 to $10,000 and can even be sentenced to up to six months in jail.
